What’s that little yellow number by my profile image?
We thought you might ask about that. Ponder no more my friend, in MyVillage land that little yellow number tells the whole world how great you are. It’s the MyVillage badging and points system - ta dah!
How does it work?
Every time you review a venue, add an image, promote an event, select your favourite places, fart... oh no, not that, but basically do almost anything on the site, we’ll be awarding you with points. The more points you gain, the higher status you maintain... well, credit where credit's due eh?
What’s the point?
It can be on the tip of a pencil, or perhaps an intellectual standpoint... forgive us, the purpose? Ok, the deal is that we want to reward our members for their dedication and loyalty. By awarding points for posts our members are given the credos they deserve.
I’m great, but my points rating is low, what’s going on?
Worried that your little yellow number isn’t representative of your true greatness? Well, that’s simple to resolve. All you need to do is get posting.
How many points do I get awarded and for what?

A ha, all good things come to those who wait. Points are calculated daily so if you post a review today your points won't update until the secret points fairies do their thing overnight...
You mention badges, what’s that all about then?
The badging part of the system is winging its way into the public sphere as we speak and will work in coordination with points scored. Soooo... all you need to know so far is that high points are good! So get posting.
