surely the best indian restaurant in the history of food.very economical with every dish tasting as good as the last.the ultra modern decor takes a bit of getting used to(I preferred the original decor)but well worth a visit.
my wife and I had a breafast at the Vesper Gate on Saturday 11 July.Breakfast is served from 9a.m. and we arrived at 9.20 to find the cleaners still working and tables piled high with dirty linen. I told the man behind the bar(the landlord?) that we had come for breakfast and he said "that's nice for you".We took our seats at a table which at least was set up for diners and after reading the menu I went to the bar to order. We were the first diners in and our food came after 15minutes.The waitress still had her bag over her shoulder as if she was on her way in or on her way out.Despite us being the first diners of the day and the food cooked fresh for us(?)the bacon was cold, the tinned tomatoes were tepid, the eggs were runny and the beans lost all heat before the last mouthful. The teapot (for 2) only had one cheap teabag in it and tasted very weak. The sausages, obviously cooked from frozen, were dry on the inside. At least the toast was good and plentiful with butter for spreading. We ate the food that fast before it got colder than it already was that we were out of the pub by ten a.m.We will not go back there.
